The Gorilla MAX 190mm FWD body shell comes moulded from high-quality 0.5mm and 0.7mm polycarbonate and uses ZooRacing‘s ZOOlite moulding process. Part of the package are window masks in a new more flexible and stickier quality, that will ensure window frames of pro quality. The body package is topped of by high-quality wing mounting hardware and a highly detailed sticker sheet including grill, head and tail lights.

WOLVERINE MAX 0.5 is ZooRacing’s newest high-performance body on the market. It’s been designed with our newest insights in mind to make WOLVERINE MAX even faster on every track, compared to its predecessors. Lots of new features improved the handling, making it more dynamic. More contact pressure offers more stability in corners with lots more rotation. The aerodynamic efficiency has been improved again as well.
For this purpose, we’ve advanced lots of areas of WOLVERINE MAX noticeable. The overall length has been shortened to achieve a lesser inertia and therefore a better rotation around the vertical axis. For more steering in fast corners we’ve redesigned the front and hood and made them steeper. To easier steer the airflow along the sides over the rear wheel arches to the rear wing, to create more downforce, we’ve tailored WOLVERINE MAX’s sides a lot. The rear is designed very even and uniform for a low center of gravity and to ensure an easy airflow to the wing. For a consistent flow we’ve remodeled the rear fenders to minimize turbulences at the rear of the body.
For a better aerodynamic efficiency we’ve elongated the roof of WOLVERINE MAX. For the first time the windows at the side have an arch build in, to even out the pressure ratio of the airflow. With the rear wing we’ve included a know one, the HELLCAT wing, and improved it even further. The wing is known for its bowed form, which fits perfectly on the bodies rear and has an extreme impact. For more structural stability and more downforce on fast tracks, we’ve included a highly efficient reinforcement rib.
Especially the 0,5mm ultralight version needs a high rigidity. To achieve that we’ve created many new features. We’ve redesigned the area in front of the window shield to create more stiffness. The front fenders got a unique structure build in to prevent deflection at high speeds and accomplish overall more efficiency.
On top of that all is the ZOOlite moulding process that reduces the overall weight of our standard thickness 0.7mm body shells by about 10g. This ensures the standard shells are legal for all races with minimum body weight rules, such as the ETS, while significantly lowering the overall center of gravity. In addition, WOLVERINE MAX is also available in our proven, lightweight 0.5mm variant for everyone looking for the outmost of performance.
Part of the package are also the revolutionary 2-step window masks that will ensure window frames of Pro quality. In a first step all windows are masked using the Step 1 masks. After the painting of the body is completed, the masks will be removed and replaced by the slightly smaller Step 2 masks that leave the window frames exposed and ready to be painted in your favourite colour. The result is highly precise without the need to pre-cut or in-body-cut the window masks, ensuring greater satisfaction and less chances of creating predetermined breaking points. The Gorilla body shell for 190mm FWD touring cars is ZooRacing‘s latest 1/10th scale on-road body shell and our idea of a high-performance front-wheel drive body shell for this ever growing and very fun class. The goal was to create a stylish yet efficient body with advanced aerodynamics, while still offering a somewhat scale look that takes design cues from a famous Japanese hatchback car and meets with current FWD touring car body shell regulations. The Gorilla features a futuristic, compact design with a low roof line, wide wheel arches and a huge front splitter, all of which add to very balanced downforce, which is further helped by a large rear wing and integrated roof spoiler.
The front of the body features a scale-looking grill section while the sculptured hood further adds to the visual appearance. The wheel arches sport moulded-on air guide plates for exceptional stability, not only aerodynamically, but they also reinforce the fender sections to ensure long durability. The body is topped off by sturdy wing mount posts, which are part of the rear window.
The Gorilla was designed to offer ZooRacing‘s class-leading features such as the ability to shift the body forth and back by a couple of millimeters for fine-tuning the cars balance and to allow the adaption to pretty much every 1/10th scale FWD chassis.

When using Lightweight body shells these wings are a great replacement being a thicker material, reducing flex and chance of creasing.
ZooRacing have announced the release of their new 3-piece wing set that includes three different design wings to fine-tune the aerodynamics of most of today’s 1/10th scale 190mm touring car bodies. Included are the wing of the ultra-popular DBX/PreoPard/ZooZilla series, the highly-curved HellCat rear wing as well as the new BayBee rear wing, all moulded from high-quality polycarbonate.
Also included are a total of six polycarbonate endplates. Using the set comes in handy especially when running ZooRacing’s ultra lightweight 0.5mm bodies that greatly profit from the tougher and less flexible rear wings as they improve overall downforce without adding too much weight. In addition the different shapes of the wings allow to fine-tune the aerodynamic balance if conditions call for it.
The wing set is usable with all 190mm touring cars that use a 100mm wing post spacing – being it originals or rip-offs.
